OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP
PamperHer Crew is a volunteer-led initiative founded by Dawn Williams to serve women in crisis on the Gold Coast, particularly those experiencing homelessness or living in refuges.
The initiative offers pampering experiences, personal care packs, and emotional support, inspired by the biblical act of foot washing (John 13:12–17) to restore dignity, hope, and the tangible love of God.
Out purpose is to uplift women through gentle, trauma-informed care such as foot massages, grooming services, and personal hygiene essentials. The initiative aims to be both practical and deeply spiritual, reminding women they are seen, loved, and valued.
1–3 events per year, aligned with:
March – International Women's Day
May – Domestic Violence Awareness & (optional) Mother's Day
Oct–Nov – Fresh Start Pamper
Volunteers needed:
Foot washers/massage therapists
Beauticians/hairdressers
Pamper pack teams
Hospitality and setup crew
Worshipers and optional photographers
Glow Cares runs the Gold Coast chapter of Rahab Ministry.
We are a group that reaches out to individuals in massage parlours and brothels on the Gold Coast every first Thursday of the month.
Our goal is to extend love, grace, and empathy without judgment to sex workers.
We offer a thoughtful, personal gift to initiate conversations and provide a listening ear.
Upcoming dates:
September 4th
October 2nd
November 6th
December 4th
Mums & Bubs is a midweek gathering from 9:00–10:30am each Wednesday in the Glow playpark, providing a relaxed and welcoming space for mothers and their little ones to connect, share, and build community together.
We are collecting women’s hygiene products and non-perishable food items to stock four police stations across the Gold Coast. These supplies will be made available to vulnerable women in need as they transition out of unsafe environments.
Suggested donations include:
Sanitary items
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Soap, shampoo, and deodorant
Noodles, canned food, and other non-perishables
Together, we can make a real difference for women in our community.
We're collecting new or gently loved (freshly washed) clothes for kids, babies up to size 10. Donations can be made and they will be packaged by a team for families in need in the community.
We're looking to create a group to bring joy and support to women in local shelters who are expecting. Our goal is to make them feel loved, valued, and celebrated during pregnancy.
If this idea speaks to your heart, we'd love to hear from you as we develop a plan and strategy together.
A group of us would love you to join our recycling efforts to sopport Hearts of Purple.
A GC charity dedicated to supporting high-risk victims of domestic violence. They provide immediate assistance, including financial aid, emergency accommodation, food, clothing, and security measures like wearable duress alarm watches and home security systems.
A notable initiative is their Purple Bin Program, which encourages the community to collect recyclable containers. These bins are placed at homes, businesses, and events across the Gold Coast. The 10-cent refunds from each container are used to fund safety devices and support services for domestic violence victims.
This initiative not only raises funds but also fosters community awareness and engagement in combating domestic violence.
Let our group know as we can help collect or arrange bins for you!
